Our Camp
Above photo (towards east): Our camp sits at the base of a small mountain, with the black-and-white goat-hair of Bedouin-style tents contrasting with the desert colours.
Location and Views
Our camp is located 11 kms south of Wadi Rum village, in the Um Sabatah region of the Wadi Rum Protected Area. We have 20-bed capacity.
Co-ordinates are 29.479091, 35.386355.
It nestles in the shelter of a sandstone mountain, overlooking both the red and white deserts towards the west and south.
The area is famous for its spectacular sunset views which can be viewed directly from our camp.

To the north from L to R - Jebel Qattar, Jebel Rum, Um Ishriin, and a bit of Jebel Khazali.

Dining Tent
Our big dining tent has large windows that open on three sides to let the desert breeze cool the air in summer. The view arcs from south-west to north-west, across an expanse of sand, and provides year-round views of the sun setting over distant mountains.
We serve your meals in the big tent, and Bedouin tea and cool water are available here on your arrival and throughout the evening. You can relax and enjoy a cup of tea anytime.
Near the door there are power points and USB points and you are welcome to recharge your phones. Also in your sleeping tent.

Meals
Dinner and breakfast are served buffet-style in the dining tent. The food is healthy, with a choice of salads, a mixture of Jordanian favourite dishes and traditional Bedouin cooking. Everything is prepared fresh.
When we have many visitors we prepare a Bedouin BBQ, or zarb, for dinner. In Arabic, زرب . Meat and vegetables are cooked under the ground and the food tastes delicious. You are welcome to watch when we take this meal out of the of the ground.
Dinner is served after sunset in summer, and about 7.00pm in winter. Breakfast is served at 7.30am.
